Ohio rallies to beat UNCG, 72-67

ATHENS, Ohio – Trailing 62-47 with just 7:45 to play in the game, Ohio closed with a 25-5 run to defeat UNCG, 72-67, and advance to the semifinals of the CBI.
Ohio led 17-16 7:15 into the game and did not take the lead again until Jordan Dartis’ three-pointer with 2:41 to play put the Bobcats up, 65-64. Ohio took the lead for good with 24 seconds left when Dartis hit another three-pointer to make it a 70-67 ballgame.
Dartis ended the game with 14 points for Ohio (23-11), who was led by the 19-point, eight-assist effort of Jaaron Simmons. Antonio Campbell had 17 points and a CBI record 19 rebounds (his 17 defensive rebounds were also a record) and Treg Setty had 12 points and six boards.
Diante Baldwin led UNCG (15-19) with 17 points. Marvin Smith scored 16 points and RJ White had 11 points.
The Bobcats will host Morehead State in the CBI semifinals on Wednesday.
