Game 1 – Saturday, March 18 (11:00am)

No. 1 Indiana State 67

No. 16 USC Upstate 62

Indiana State overcame an early 1st half deficit to take down USC Upstate in the first game of the day. Courvoisier McCauley led the Sycamores with 20 points along with 11 rebounds. Cameron Henry added 19 points and 10 rebounds for Indiana State. The Sycamores advance to the Quarterfinals on Monday where they will play the Eastern Kentucky/Cleveland State winner.

Game 2 – Saturday, March 18 (1:00pm)

No. 4 Southern Utah 72 

No. 13 North Alabama 50

A dominant 2nd half propelled Southern Utah to an Opening Round victory. The Thunderbirds outscored North Alabama 38-16 in the 2nd half after the game was tied at 34 at the break. Sophomore Jason Spurgin led SUU with 16 points and 17 rebounds. Flynn Clayman picked up the win in his first game as Interim Head Coach.  Southern Utah advances to the Quarterfinals where they will play on Monday vs the winner of Duquesne/Rice.

Game 3 – Saturday, March 18 (3:30pm)

No. 2 San Jose State 77

No. 15 Southern Indiana 52

San Jose State pulled away from the Screaming Eagles of Southern Indiana in the 1st half and didn’t look back. Sophomore guard Alvaro Cardenas dropped 22 points to lead the Spartans. Mountain West Conference Player of Year Omari Moore chipped in 15 points 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Tim Miles squad will meet the winner of Tarleton/Radford game in the Quarterfinals on Monday.

Game 4 – Saturday, March 18 (5:30pm)

No. 3 Charlotte 65

No. 14 Western Carolina 56

Charlotte rallied in the 2nd half after trailing 31-20 at halftime. Junior guard Brice Williams led the 49ers with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Lu’Cye Patterson scored 16 off the bench for Charlotte. The 49ers advance to the Quarterfinals and will meet the winner of Stetson/Milwaukee.


Game 5 – Sunday, March 19 (11:00am)

No. 8 Eastern Kentucky vs. No. 9 Cleveland State

Game 6 – Sunday, March 19 (1:00pm)

No. 5 Duquesne vs. No. 12 Rice

Game 7 – Sunday, March 19 (3:30pm)
